Disclaimer
This is not medical care. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a treatment, or a substitute for a physician. Breath and Mud teaches breathing techniques and cold/mud conditioning practices — some of them carry real, physical risk if you have certain conditions or practice them carelessly.
Talk to a physician first if
you're pregnant, have a heart condition, epilepsy or a seizure disorder, high or low blood pressure that isn't controlled, glaucoma, are prone to panic attacks, or have any condition where a drop in oxygen, a spike in blood pressure, or acute stress could hurt you. Every technique lists its own contraindications — check the techniques page before you try anything new.
Rules that aren't optional
- Never do a breath hold in or near water. Never.
- Never practice while driving or operating machinery.
- Stop immediately if you feel dizzy, tingling, panicked, or your vision narrows.
- Practice sitting or lying down until you know how your body responds.
- Don't practice alone the first few times with an unfamiliar technique.
You're responsible for you
You know your own health better than a website does. If something feels wrong, stop — don't push through it. Using this site and its techniques is your choice, and the risk is yours to weigh.
