Technique
Sniff Sniff Poo
A short, forceful two-part inhale followed by a sharp "poo"-sound exhale — a superventilation-style release breath, often used to break a rumination cycle.
Do not practice without guidance if:
- Pregnancy or nursing
- Heart or cardiovascular condition (incl. high blood pressure)
- Epilepsy or seizure history
How
Seated with a neutral spine: inhale through the nose to about 70% of full lungs, pause a moment, then inhale the rest of the way to fullest lungs. Exhale through the mouth, making a "poo" sound with the lips.
